Cloud conferences

So, I've stopped by a few conferences lately, so time to dish a bit. The other day I stopped by jFrog's swampUp conf, which had a good session by Anais and another by Kat Cosgrove about teaching Kubernetes that I found great. Earlier today there was Dockercon, which featured Anais again but this time talking about .dockerignore. I also stopped by talks by Mark Shuttlesworth (which was far more techie than I anticipated) and a few talks about container security. The lowlight was what pitched itself as "docker 101" but was actually a product and feature pitch by the folks from Docker. One of the sessions was a panel with Liz the container security lady, and that rocked. Oh, and Alyssa Miller rocked it with her fresh approach to integrating security right into the build pipeline, and using fast iteration to address any security issues. All in all both were very interesting and helpful; glad I spent some time at them.
