Day two and beyond

I've actually recorded and started uploading 5 days of Kubernetes content now, and I have some feedback. First, process stuff. I've got the basic pipeline worked out -- outline then research, sketches or graphics then prep and practice and then use OBS to capture, then handbrake to clean and title then upload to Youtube. I still need to figure out thumbnails and timestamps, and filling out the full description area. Oh, and editing -- so far, these are all a single take. I've also figured out that there is lots of lag when using my sketch pen and pad with OBS, so I think I'll only use it to draw before hand or if I'm using a machine with a lot more RAM. I am hoping to create two or three "day" sessions per week. I'm curious to actually try streaming, but since I have zero audience I'm not sure how well that might work. I think it would be good to do a bit of live demo, but I'd like it to be distinct from my regular "day" content.

Now, content stuff. I've done a couple hands on demo pieces and a few more theoretical sessions. I like mixing it up, but having related sessions to tie things together. They were all fun to do, but some of the tech bits got in the way; I think I'll try to reduce this going forward. I might use powerpoint or drawings to simplify things for me during the session. I also thought it might be hard to come up with topics, but I think I have a dozen or more now, and that is based just on what I am currently thinking about. And while I think I might edit or redo some of these first five, its been very motivating and helpful to get here. I've got ideas and started outlines for the next few, but I'm going to try and actually do some editing and get the thumbnails worked out prior to uploading. And I'd like to plan for a regular schedule, so I'm making steady progress and developing a routine with this.

So, up until now I've only done just the basics -- what are containers and some history, intro to nodes and pods, hands on with same, then into to deployments and hands on. On tap are Kubernetes distros and explaining imperitive and declarative. In the longer timeframe, we can look at things like plug ins, ingress, load balancers, security, helm, volumes, volume claims and actually deploying an application or three.
