Ah Lambda, we hardly remember you. After quite a bit of time of being away from serverless stuff, I needed to do some Lambda stuff. I can say that it was not anywhere near as bad getting back into as I thought, and I actually remember a few things here and there about it, which honestly is fairly impressive.
I did fire back up my basic Lambdas, which was sort of simple -- just grabbing some info and dropping it into an S3 area, and reading it back out, along with something that was all network. But I fiddled with some other things, including exercising a website or two.
I'm using Python and there is still a bit more trial and error than I would like, but it's not as awful as it seems. I have another new mini-project too -- I want to collect a picture of a document, OCR it, and see if that info is something I can do something with. There are a few steps, but I think this should be a good experience on a few levels of Lambda and supporting AWS SaaS offerings. I'll keep talking about this as things go along
