Okay, so I'm literally tired, as in I've been up many hours and I'm not functioning on all cylinders. I did manage a short test stream earlier tonight, and I was below functions even then. Just ugh.
I've spent a bit of time planning, but I don't yet have a grand plan. I need to spend some time on my cert studies, and I need to write a Thesis proposal, so I have to figure out what that needs. I think I'd like to up my Kubernetes knowledge still, and I've got both normal tech and retro tech things to fiddle with. Plus I need to clean and also do some personal things.
I also need to kick my durability and reliability up some notches; my recovery and disaster recovery bits are on the hard to dicey side, even though I do have them. I've replaced bare metal pets with VM pets, and even have some bits that are somewhat cattle, but not fully cattle quite yet.
I'm actually going to build a new project directly on the cloud, with the ability to backport it to a local/on-prem solution. The idea here is to build where it costs money, and then onboard it locally to cut costs once I've got it running. I want to use Infrastructure as Code for this, and I'll trade ec2 instances for either VMs or images and pods.
