I'd like to blog with some links and pictures and maybe even the occasional formatting, so I've started playing with some of the Jamstack/static site generators. I started with two that both use Python and support Jinja templates, which has actually been an interesting approach.

I'm leaning slightly towards Pelican right now, as it is easy to roll out and is fairly lightweight. The other one I'm looking at is MkDoc, which I just don't have much time in yet.

I did think about writing my own generator, but for now I'd rather spend the time writing and getting other bits done.

With any of these options, the posts themselves are flat files so it SHOULD be easy to move from one generator to another.
