I'm happy to have been pragmatic and made some actual gains. One thing I did do was to commit to a Jamstack blog, which has been decent overall. This was a step up from a plain text blog and a small piece that I wrote that would pump out the textfiles into a semblence of a very plain looking blog. It lacked features and style, and Jamstack comes with that built in. One thing I had to do was convert what I had already written to the Jam format, so I just slapped it together, which isn't great. So I had a process where I'd write an entry, copy it to Jam and things would get resolved "sometime in the future". Well, that was a horrible approach, so I resolved to go all-in on Jam, and stopped using my hand built text blog, only using Jam. I built a reasonable process, authored a bunch of articles and started the clean up on my older bits. I'm pleased to say this is all done, and I'll be moving over to the new system shortly. There are a few things still in the ToDo column on this one, including some way to do spell checking, a more streamlined process and understanding a bit better how to control the layout. I may even do a bit of swaping around of entries between various writing spots of mine. This is a good example of not letting perfrect get in the way of the good (or improved). I've also been doing some other work; I'll write about that in another entry soon.
