The Pi-Zero W that had been my PiHole server is not dead like I thought it was. The zero w wasn't showing any lights, which led me to believe something had gone wrong. Well, something was wrong but I now know likely its a card corruption rather than a physical issue. How, do you say? Okay, this is easy. I started by searching for "pi zero no hdmi", which I thought might yield some info about booting issues. Where I found something was searching "pi zero led", which gave me the troubleshooting for zero. It turns out they don't show power with the led, and in fact the micro-sd card has to be valid to get a light. But, you can plug a unit, sans sd and plugged into a data( no power port here ) and see if it shows up as a USB device. Mine did, so now I need to check the filesystem in the am. So, might soon have pi hole back :p
